Point Judith Tower
This was taken about an hour after I'd shot the Watch Hill Light for the second time, and it was my second visit to Point Judith. I'd shot the tower during the winter but the Milky Way wasn't present then and having just photographed it in Watch Hill I decided to stop by PJ on my way home. When I arrived I grabbed a protective shot of the tower with the Milky Way, then moved around the lighthouse to the other side of the octagon and realized the interior lights of the tower were on. This resulted in a dramatic look and I simply love the way the light falls on the ground. The rays through the lantern room railing also throw off a mystical presence.
