Windmill Point light is on Lake Champlain in far northern Vermont in the town of Alburgh which borders Canada. I'd driven over 300 miles to get here to escape a terrible stretch of lousy southern New England weather that had prevented good nighttime photography. The lighthouse is owned by a local family who also own the Isle la Motte lighthouse several miles away. The owner met me and assisted with the shoot on this chilly May night.
