Earlier on this evening I'd hiked out on the National Seashore to Long Point Light that is located about a mile and a half from this lighthouse. The two lights are sister structures and look almost identical, and to get to them you have to hike out over a mile-long jetty and then hike along the barrier beach. While the Long Point lighthouse is bathed in ambient light from the neighboring towns, Wood End is nestled behind some dunes which helps with the light pollution though the glow above the dunes is light from Provincetown. I spent about an hour shooting here before my return hike across the beach and the jetty.
