The Nauset Lighthouse is in Eastham on Cape Cod and I had visited there back in March after having shot the Aurora Borealis at the Highland Light in Truro, but clouds had covered the sky. I knew a return visit was needed and traveled there in early October to finally capture the lighthouse. It was a tricky night of shooting because the temperature dropped to near dew point and the air became saturated as did my lens. Then the temperature slightly rose to above dew point, then it dropped again. This continued the entire time I was there resulting in a frustrating evening of constant moisture and fog on the lens. For this shot I placed the LED light on a stand in nearby woods and created the branch shadows on the tower.
