This was shot late at night in early summer and the Milky Way was visible to the naked eye this particular night. It's rare to see it here in Rhode Island, and for several nights out shooting this particular week I captured it several times. I grew up on the beaches near the Watch Hill lighthouse and had captured it many times over the years but never before like this. I added light to the grass in the foreground and to the shadowed areas of the house. The tower was lit by high powered flood lights from a private beach club about a half-mile away.
