Southeast Light Shooting Star

Southeast Light Shooting Star

This year we got lucky during the August new moon cycle as it coincided with the annual Perseid Meteor Showers and I got even luckier by capturing one that seemed to be flying through the Milky Way. The skies were spectacular as were the stars and this is the first time revisiting the Southeast Lighthouse since shooting it over a year ago. We were on Block Island for the opening of the Stars and Lights solo show at HeartSpace Gallery and finding great conditions at the lighthouse was a bonus. I lit the scene with a low-dimmed LED television light on a stand placed about a hundred feet away from the lighthouse.
