It was 10° and breezy the February 2014 night I ventured to the Castle Hill Light in Newport. It was right after a snowstorm and although much of the snow had been blown away, it was pretty slick underfoot. I had to carefully make my way down to this position that allowed for a nice shot with the bridge in the background placing two iconic Rhode Island landmarks in the same shot. There was enough ambient light to get a pretty good exposure that I didn't have to add anything extra. Unfortunately, the light pollution also limited the number of visible stars in the sky, but still the shot works.
