The Lynde Point Light is nestled in a very private and exclusive neighborhood in Old Saybrook called Fenwick. There are several signs leading into the area that are positioned to keep any undesirables out, making this one of the least visible or known lighthouses in all of New England. I obtained Coast Guard permission to visit the property and found it to be both striking and stark. I set up the tripod on the beach next to the tower and light painted the driftwood and lighthouse with my flashlight. This was taken around 1:30 in the morning and the glow on the horizon was from the lights of New London about 15 miles away.
