This little lighthouse is on private property that is owned by the PSEG power company in Bridgeport. You can see it from the ferry that goes to Port Jefferson, NY, or from a distance you can see it from the grounds of the University of Bridgeport. I'd researched the lighthouse and of it found few photographs but felt it would be a great addition to the collection. I contacted the corporate headquarters in New Jersey and once they saw the Star and Lights gallery they gladly allowed me onto the property. I arrived before sunset and waited for the twilight to fade, but as it did the ferry came by and I grabbed a few frames. It's certainly not in line with the stars and lights theme since it was early in the evening, but the ferry is important to the lighthouse. It's likely few people even know this lighthouse exists, but if you are driving on Rt. 95 through Bridgeport you can see it close to the large red and white stack on the water side of the highway.
